What Hosting Plan? What About My Subdomain?
Now that I have converted to the new Credit System 3, I am very confused. First of all, where is the hosting details? How do I know what my hosting package includes now? I have tried "ordering" services with myEarnings, but it requires me to have a domain name. I don't have a domain name, I have a subdomain on trap17.com, [url="http://portal.trap17.com/"]http://portal.trap17.com/[/url]. I do not want my services to stop, how do I continue my web hosting here?!

Linux Hosting Vs Windows Hosting
What are the differences (in terms of features corresponding to PHP) between the Windows Hosting & Linux Hosting packages (particularly between [b]WPA[/b] & [b]Logic Plan[/b]), given that WPA also supports PHP. Will the .htaccess file work if I use WPA's PHP? I noticed, WPA has HSPHERE CONTROL PANEL. Is it inferior to CPanel? I don't use the cronjob feature yet. But, there should be an equivalent feature that allows a certain ASP .NET script to run at a scheduled time, correct?
How Are Astahost And Xistosupport Accounts Linked?
Ok, so I'm new here and want to get a website up. And more importantly get my email forwarding. So I follow the instructions and sign up here at astahost.com as well as at xistosupport.com. But since those are two different accounts, how are they linked and how will myCents be available on both accounts? I've been searching the forums, but cannot find anywhere the answer? Please point me in the right direction, if it's explained somewhere? I certainly could not find it in the FAQ&

Remove Frontpage Extensions From My Hosting Plan?
I would like to have the FrontPage extensions removed from my hosting plan because I don’t use them anymore and it is costing me around $2.00 a month. I went into the Client Area but I didn’t see an option to change my plan. I am guessing that this will have to be done manually. If so go ahead and do it.
Is anyone having problems with their cron jobs? I have Drupal installed, and it requires a script to be run every day, but it has been about 2 weeks since the cron job has run. It is required so that I can clean up old logs from by database. But instead, I have been just getting mails from the server that my cron jobs did not run. Problems With PHP/Joomla On Hosted Site
I am having some odd problems with my hosted site. They started sometime yesterday. I have not made any changes for about two weeks. In Firefox, the index page (index.php) for Joomla comes up blank. I can access my Control Panel and can check that the files are there and look correct. No favorites icon is displayed either and the page source is empty. I'm in phpMyAdmin right now and I see that the version of MySQL used on the Astahost servers is 4.1.22. This seems quite old because MySQL 5.1 was released in November 2008. The latest stable version is 5.1.36 and was released approximately 20 days ago. Since we are using an older version of MySQL, when can we expect an upgrade? Not that I need to use anything specific to MySQL 5/5.1, but the PHP extension mysqli only works with MySQL 4.1.3+.

Hi, I just got my new hosting account and was wondering if I can upload a zip file and get it unzipped in the server? Normally I wouldn't mind unzipping and sending it using FTP, but sometimes I'm somewhere else (like my workplace) and they don't allow FTP. Uploading the files one by one is going to be tedious since my zip files usually have almost 100 files or more. Small though, so it won't bog down the server Thanks.

It seems like there is problems with the myCENTs system at the moment. Recently, before 1 day ago, I had a few myCENTs (positive) in my forum account. However, after posting in the 'What's New?" section less than a day ago, I found out today I had dropped down to negative 376 myCENTs. Wrong Password/username - Fatal Error In Horde
I keep getting a fatal error when trying to check my webmail using Horde, through the CPanel. Also, when I try to open PhpMyAdmin I get an error saying "Wrong username/password. Access denied." However, I'm logged into CPanel fine, and after getting this error I changed my password. That went fine, as well. This is really annoying, I'm locked out of some stuff I sorta need access too. Deleted Something I Shouldn't Have.
I deleted the file that allows you to edit the index page. If you go to runnerstrail.astahost.com which is my site it says there isn't a site. Is there any other way I can edit the index with out having the file that you can use the html/code editor on, or is it gone for good? I have spam in my inbox sent to astahost.<myspamgourmetaccountname>@spamgourmet.com. Only astahost got this address, and it's not likely some chinese spammers guessed it either. Site Down Again, Help Or Suggestions?
I’m starting to get a complex because my site, ycoderscookbook.com is down again. I hate to SPAM the forums like this but I have a support ticket submitted and have not head anything in three days. From what I am seeing, the Gamma server is up but for some reason the DNS is not resolving to the domain. Ycoderscokbook.com has been down since Friday. Perhaps one of the admins can look into this for me I know that BuffloHELP was very nice after the server migration and pulled a few strings.

The thing is I try to create the addon domain but it always gives an error because the nameservers are supposedly not set to computinghost's ones, but they were when I tried. Yesterday I tryed to use a big transparent GIF image on my WEB site, but after deployment transparency of this image was not displayed. Full Disk Usage Warning In Cpanel
A few minutes ago I received an automated mail notifying me about 109.68% (548.38 Megs) of disk space used by my hosting account. It was extremely surprising because I have not uploaded anything in a while. Nevertheless, I went back to CPanel and looked into the Disk Usage Viewer. It could only account for ~295 MBs. Alright, this is becoming a major problem. For the past few days, the Gamma server has been overloading a lot. The server has reached a load peak of 14.92 thus disabling services like PHP, CGI and have even shut down MySQL once. This is as big of a problem as XBOX Live having problems from the past few days. Hi, Well now that i switched to computing host, I would still like to be somewhat active on the forums here (maybe accumulate some credits that i can donate to some people at somepoint or whatever). But I was wondering, if I no longer am having an account is there any way I can be in some 'computing host hosted member' group or something? Note: I still have yet to terminate my hosting on astahost, but I will probably do that shortly as it doesn't point to anything.

I went through hosting issues recently. And now I'm having them again. A few weeks ago my hosting account stopped working (industry-online.com) even though my credits had never dipped below 10. It took several days, but finally the problem was corrected except for email. That took about another 4-5 days to get that working. A couple of days ago it stopped working again. Strange Error (maybe Directoryindex Glitch?)
So if I browse to my site, www.ethergeek.com it takes me to a download window which proceeds to download the PHP page from the server. If I type www.ethergeek.com/index.php the page loads as expected. This happens in other folders too...it almost seems like if the server looks at DirectoryIndex parameter it doesn't pass the page through the php preprocessor... Any ideas?
Forgot To Pay The Electric Bill
Looks like I once again forgot to pay the Electric Company (I let my credit go to 0.00 again and my webpage got suspended). It happened over the weekend so I visited my local utility and got back up to snuff (I now have positive credits).
